On behalf of the Officers and Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Facilities Administrators Association I would like to welcome you to our website. My name is Ken Wertz and I am the current President of the MFAA. I urge you to scroll around our site to discover what resources and benefits membership provides along with what some of our upcoming events we have scheduled.
I would like to take a minute and tell you a little bit about the MFAA. We are a community of more than 150 facility directors that provide services for municipal and public K-12 schools in Massachusetts. Our organization has been providing support, networking, and professional development opportunities to members for over 39 years. Through sharing of knowledge and resources, we are able to improve the performance and extend the life of our public facilities. Our members take great pride in providing a safe, healthy, and sustainable learning environment for our staff and students.
A lot has changed over the past 39 years. The facilities industry is no longer just someone that knows a little about construction or cleaning. With newer building technologies and increasing legislative requirements our members and organization have tried to keep step with all of it. The focus on professionalism and importance of working with industry leaders has never been more apparent than it is today. The MFAA’s growth and vision has brought with it recognition from both state and federal agencies as a valuable resource for information and expertise. All of our member communities benefit from the strength of our combined knowledge and experiences.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you have any questions about our organization and possible membership, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at 781-784-1548 (xt.3).

What is success? To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; That is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
